Animation is a versatile medium that allows for the creation of movement in both analogue and digital formats. This class will go over both, with half of the time spent on traditional animation projects such as flip books, paper cutout stop motion, and zoetrops; and the other half working digitally with hand drawn 2D animation on iPads. Students will leave the camp with physical animation pieces, digital animations practicing various techniques, a group collaborative project, and a better understanding of animation as a whole.

PARKING: Please park on the NORTH side of the building and enter up the ramp to the front office. It is the really colorful side of the building.

ATTIRE/SUPPLIES: We will provide the supplies used during the camp. Please send your child with a water bottle and snack each day. We also recommend your child wear clothing that can handle the art-making process (messy activities). If your student wants to bring their own device, they would need RoughAnimator, available on the App Store for $7.99, OR Procreate, $12.99 on the App Store downloaded and an apple pencil and ipad charged and ready to go each day.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP: You must check your child in and out each day from the front office. You will be sent a QR code before the start of camp to check your child in and out. You may share this code with any authorized adults. Drop-Off STARTS at 8:45 am. Pick-Up ENDS at 12:15 pm. Please be prompt collecting your child.

FULL DAY STUDENTS: IF you register your child for a morning and afternoon camp in the same week, your child may spend the 1 hour lunch break with staff. Please send a lunch that does not require refrigeration or a microwave.
