Ski area base lodges are often elegant with fireplaces and easy chairs. But Brighton has gone retro. It offers a down home, relaxed setting in its new day lodge lunch room. Several puzzles are in progress and anyone can settle in and work on them. And a smiling reindeer delights the little skiers and boarders who pat and sit on him. It's a trip back in time for a ski area to offer quiet and relaxed entertainment for all.

Brighton has long been known by locals as the ski area where "Salt  Lake learns to ski."
